Sourcing is a promise, not a slogan
Our Philosophy

We don't chase trends in sustainability — we build relationships with the people who grow, harvest, and recycle our raw materials. Before any fabric or material makes it into a Bella Verde product, it has to answer three questions: Where did this come from? What did it cost the earth to make? And can we do it again next year without depleting anything?

That's the standard. Not a marketing line — a sourcing rule.

Leather

Tannery-Traced, LWG-Certified Leather

Every hide we use is traced back to tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group, meaning water use, chemical discharge, and energy consumption are independently audited — not self-reported.

Leather

Chrome-Free & Low-Impact Tanning

Where possible, we use vegetable-tanned or chrome-free tanning processes, which cut heavy-metal runoff and make offcuts easier to biodegrade or repurpose.

Leather

By-Product Sourcing

Our leather is sourced as a by-product of the food industry, not as a primary driver of livestock farming — a distinction that matters, and one we're transparent about rather than glossing over.

Packaging

FSC-Certified Paper & Cardboard

All boxes, tags, and paper packaging come from forests managed under Forest Stewardship Council standards — what's harvested is tracked and replanted.

Packaging

Plastic-Free / Minimal-Plastic Packaging

100% of our packaging is now free of virgin plastic, replaced with [recycled kraft paper / compostable mailers / plant-based films — specify]. No single-use plastic bags in final shipments.

Packaging

Recycled & Recyclable Materials

Where paper isn't the right fit, we use packaging made from 80% post-consumer recycled content, designed to be recycled again at end of life — not downcycled into something unusable.
